Coffee & Cameras is a group started by me to encourage people who have an interest in photography to meet up, drink some coffee, talk about cameras and photography. We normally meet around once a month but this is not set in stone, in fact the whole idea is that there is no structure to the group. I will pick a date when I am available and then post the event on Facebook. The events are open to anyone and completely free, you do not need to book a place and there are no tickets, just turn up if you want to join us. Sometimes there might only be a couple of people but at this event there was 11 of us.
Based in Norwich, Norfolk UK , often we will meet at The Forum which is located in the centre of the city with plenty of parking, it’s a good place to start. I will usually have some idea where we might go but I am open to suggestions, there are no real plans and we will go with the flow.
This week I started with a bit of show and tell……
So in my bag I had a Rollei 35, a Fujifilm X-E2 and a Lomography Fisheye camera.
The Rollei 35 is one of the smallest 35mm, full frame, rangefinder cameras in the world. The original Rollei 35 was introduced at Photokina in 1966.
The Fujifilm X-E2 is a mirrorless CSC camera, I like the simple design of this camera. I bought it second hand and it currently has the 27mm pancake lens fitted. This makes a really nice compact outfit which you can slip into a pocket but produces great images.
Finally the Lomography Fisheye is a plastic toy camera which I bought from eBay for £5……I loaded a roll of Fujifilm Superia X-Tra 400 which cost more than the camera !
This is an image from the Lomo….
